Local Government Law
Since 1987, the firm has represented the Village of Swansea, Illinois, one of the fastest growing commercial and residential communities in the St. Louis metropolitan area. It has developed a team with broad expertise in many areas of local government.
The firm also serves as counsel for several school districts in St. Clair County. For many years it has also defended claims against downstate Illinois school districts for the Illinois School District Agency.
The firm has a special interest in litigation involving election law and government affairs. Since 1999, it has served as general counsel for a local election authority and has been counsel of record in many important Illinois election cases over the past decade.
